Okay so I am getting on with the HD castle but for people who want to know why it's taking so long when I made HD village in just over 1 month.
The castle has a lot more detail in EVERY single room. The village was mostly just plain mud, metal or wood textures. I blanket textured the entire village section & it was quick & simple to do. I admit I did rush things though. I am not finished with the castle because at first I tried to do the same thing but it all just looked so plain. I would finish an area then go back & look again after a few weeks & think, NOPE I NEED TO DO MORE HERE & THERE. This going back & forth has made my HD castle take 3/4/5 times longer than I thought it would....sorry. It will get finished but I have had to take breaks here & there too.
I will plod on regardless but I had better remind people here that I am NOT using original textures. Fresh textures means a new look so those of you that wish to see some sort of steam project style mod here will not get one. I have ZERO interest in sucking up to crapcom & their shills. This is my project & it wont look like the original game. Having said all that I need to remind people that I am just an amateur modder with a limited knowledge & skill set & am struggling with some things which are also slowing me down. I will give an image below to show what I mean. I wish to give thanks to all those who have shown interest & encouraged me & I will continue to do the best that I can because I really do love this game.
So I decided to give the castle a rest for a while & try my luck with the Ganado recently, over 95% new textures but you can instantly see the problem I am going to have, the face details. I fear I am not a good enough artist to give a photo realistic face to him & others but this is an ongoing W.I.P.....
I have yet to draw his ears & general skin aging details as well, here this man looks very young lol Also I am not sure I have got the skin colours right either but I will keep trying, there is much more work to do here.....

Still there are many little bugs being worked on but so far so good I hope you like them. Only em10 & em15 at the moment. |

SO I have done the four male villagers into H.D & & am fairly satisfied with them that just leaves the two women villagers, I will have a video display of them all by the end of the week & I will share the demo link here & on my channel.

So I have been continuing in the villagers mod, here I found the torch & made it H.D
Here I found the glasses lol also made into H.D though to be honest people really wont see much difference lol
Still working on their faces & clothing, they just don't seem quite right yet but I'll keep trying...

FUCK this is a very large file, over 9GB. Uploading but it may take a while.... I would just like to wish fans a merry Christmas & a happy new year. This mod is incomplete in my opinion but I will add updates at a later date. There are many more things that I think could be done but there is only so much time in the day that I can give to this mod. I will not be able to release the updated village with updated mercenaries mode at this time due to the size of the files but maybe in the next month or so.

So any thoughts on the mod Guia? Impressive, to think you done this all by yourself is quite insane, the effort throughout the months is remarkable! I can only thank you for being consistent and posting it here, Resident Evil 4 will never die. On the other hand, this mod might be too much for old PCs and laptops, that aside, this is a huge graphical update, every ENB Series or SweetFx could be replaced by your project.  Great Job! |
